Debunking the myth of tendinitis

Ah yes, tendinitis. If you're an athlete, and if you're reading this, you probably are, all of us at some point were probably told our soreness is/was being caused by tendinitis. And the remedy? Rest, ice and an anti-inflammatory. Has any one really gotten to the root of the problem? Tendinitis- or inflammation of the tendon- is the body's warning sign, a red flag if you will, of you are either doing too much or doing something incorrectly. Pain (not to be confused with soreness) is a response that we are doing something to our body and addressing the causing factors is more important than treating the symptoms.

This article is a great resource that talks about "tendinitis" vs tendinopathy, and its causes. Notice at the bottom it mentions how correct and incorrect biomechanics can affect this and become a causal factor?
